Price Situationer of Selected Agricultural Commodities First Phase of November 2021

  1. Increases in the average retail prices of a kilogram of well milled rice, ranging from PhP 0.04 to PhP 2.74, were registered in six trading centers during the first phase of November 2021 (01 to 05 November 2021), from their price levels in the second phase of October 2021 (15 to 17 October 2021). Its average retail price per kilogram, however, dropped by PhP 0.26 in Butuan City, by PhP 0.74 in Digos City, and by PhP 1.79 in Tuguegarao City during the period. (Table 1)

Relative to their price levels in the second phase of October 2021, the average retail prices of a kilogram of pork with bones went up by PhP 2.30 to PhP 54.00 in eight trading centers during the first phase of November 2021. On the other hand, its average retail price per kilogram went down by PhP 4.13 to PhP 16.97 in four trading centers during the first phase of November 2021. (Table 2)
  3. The average retail prices of a kilogram of galunggong picked up from PhP 0.70 to PhP 55.00 in nine trading centers during the first phase of November 2021. Meanwhile, its average retail price per kilogram fell by PhP 8.31 in Iloilo City and by PhP 60.00 in Cabanatuan City during the period. (Table 3)
  4. Prices of vegetables at the retail trade were lower in many trading centers during the first phase of November 2021. (Table 4)
  5. Changes in the average retail prices of a kilogram of red onion between the first phase of November 2021 and the second phase of October 2021 in 10 trading centers ranged from PhP 0.60 to PhP 27.50. (Table 5)
  6. Prices of a kilogram of calamansi rose from PhP 2.32 to PhP 21.43, in six trading centers during the first phase of November 2021, from their price levels in the second phase of October 2021. On the other hand, its average retail price per kilogram was lower by PhP 5.26 in Calapan City during the period. (Table 6)
  7. 7. The average retail prices of a kilogram of brown sugar inched up from PhP 0.51 to PhP 1.83 in four trading centers during the first phase of November 2021. Its average retail price, however, declined by PhP 0.21 in the National Capital Region (NCR), by PhP 0.38 in Digos City, and by PhP 1.46 in Legazpi City. (Table 7)
