CMRPI

Annual rate of CMRPI in the National Capital Region (NCR) picks up this month

The annual rate of increase of CMRPI in NCR was higher at 1.1 percent in February 2020. Its annual rate in January 2020 was posted at 0.7 percent and in February 2019, 2.1 percent. (Table A and Table 2)

The index of miscellaneous construction materials registered a 0.8 percent annual increment during the month, from a 0.1 percent annual decline in January 2020. Moreover, higher annual mark-ups were recorded in the following commodity groups:

  • Carpentry materials, 1.0 percent;
  • Electrical materials, 0.6 percent;
  • Masonry materials, 0.5 percent; and
  • Painting materials and related compounds, 1.7 percent.

Meanwhile, the indices of plumbing materials and tinsmithry materials retained their previous month’s annual growth rates of 0.9 percent and 1.3 percent, respectively. (Table 2)
