CMRPI in NCR decelerated further in February 2021
The CMRPI in NCR continued to move downward as its annual rate slowed down further to 1.1 percent in February 2021, from 1.2 percent in January 2021. The same annual rate of 1.1 percent was posted in February 2020. (Tables A and 2)
Slower annual increments were noted in the indices of the following commodity groups during the month:
- Carpentry materials, 1.4 percent;
- Electrical materials; and plumbing materials, both at 0.5 percent; and
- Painting materials and related compounds, 0.7 percent.
On the other hand, annual increases were higher in the indices of tinsmithry materials at 1.8 percent, and miscellaneous construction materials at 0.8 percent. The index of masonry materials retained its previous month’s annual rate of 1.5 percent. (Table 2)
