Annual change of CMRPI in NCR moves up at a slower pace in November 2019

A lower annual increment of 0.5 percent was posted in the CMRPI in the National Capital Region (NCR) in November 2019. Higher annual rates were recorded in October 2019 at 0.7 percent and in November 2018, 2.6 percent. (Table A and Table 2)

A 0.1 percent annual drop was still registered in the index of plumbing materials. In addition, lower annual gains during the month were recorded in the indices of the following commodity groups:

• Carpentry materials, 1.0 percent;
• Masonry materials, 0.7 percent;
• Tinsmithry materials, 0.5 percent; and
• Miscellaneous construction materials, 0.2 percent.

Higher annual mark-ups were, however, noted in the indices of electrical materials and painting materials and related compounds at 0.7 percent and 0.9 percent, respectively. (Table 2)
