Annual rate of CMRPI in NCR picks up in October 2020

The annual rate of increment of CMRPI in NCR was posted at 1.4 percent in October 2020. This was higher than its annual rate registered in September 2020 of 1.3 percent. Meanwhile, the annual rate of CMRPI in October 2019 was recorded at 0.7 percent. (Tables A and 2)

Annual mark-ups during the month were higher in the indices of masonry materials at 1.4 percent; painting materials and related compounds, 1.8 percent; and tinsmithry materials, 2.2 percent.

However, annual gains during the period decelerated in the indices of carpentry materials and miscellaneous construction materials, both at 1.2 percent; and plumbing materials at 0.6 percent.

The index of electrical materials retained its previous month’s annual rate of 0.8 percent. (Table 2)
