CMRPI in NCR continued to increase in September 2021

The CMRPI in NCR picked up further to 2.0 percent in September 2021, from 1.6 percent in the previous month. Its annual growth in September 2020 was registered at 1.3 percent. (Tables A and 2)

Higher annual increments were noted during the month in the indices of all the commodity groups as listed below:

a. Carpentry materials, 1.7 percent;
b. Electrical materials and plumbing materials, both at 1.3 percent;
c. Masonry materials, 1.4 percent;
d. Painting materials and related compounds, 1.5 percent;
e. Tinsmithry materials, 3.1 percent; and
f. Miscellaneous construction materials, 2.5 percent. (Table 2)
