The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) announces the updating of 60 indicators in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Watch posted on the PSA website at https://psa.gov.ph/sdg. This updating activity is in support of the country’s commitment to achieve the unique and ambitious SDGs and to ensure that no one and nowhere is left behind by the end of 2030.
As of 27 December 2022, data for 60 out of 69 indicators or 87.0% of the SDG indicators expected to have updates were received. Among the updated indicators, there are 38 out of 60 indicators or 63.3 percent, were from PSA, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI).
The timely release of the results of the 2021 Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) and the 2022 National Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) of PSA just a few months from the data collection, provided a more current situation of the country in 13 out of 26 SDG indicators.
The updates in the SDG Watch present the country’s current stand on the SDGs, which aims to guide policy makers in making informed decisions, and prioritize transformative actions towards inclusive growth.
