At the national level, the average farmgate price of palay per kilogram went down to PhP 17.35 or by -0.5 percent this November 2022, from its price level of PhP 17.44 per kilogram in October 2022. However, it went up by 6.1 percent relative to its price level of PhP 16.35 per kilogram in November 2021. (Tables A and 1)
After exhibiting annual increases in October 2022, the average farmgate prices of palay in Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and Cagayan Valley posted year-on-year decreases this November 2022, both at -0.4 percent. Among the regions, MIMAROPA Region recorded the highest annual increment of 12.9 percent. (Table 1)
