The total rice stock inventory as of December 1, 2014 was 3.03 million metric tons (Figure 1). This was 2.7 percent higher than last month’s inventory of 2.95 million metric tons and 21.6 percent above the 2.49 million metric tons record in December…

As of August 1, 2014 the total rice stock inventory was 1.72 million metric tons (Figure 1). This was 15.0 percent lower than last month’s inventory of 2.03 million metric tons and 7.4 percent below the 1.86 million metric tons record in August 2013.

As of September 1, 2013 total rice stock inventory was 1.53 million metric tons (Figure 1). This was 17.7 percent below last month’s inventory of 1.86 million metric tons but 6.1 percent higher than last year’s record of 1.44 million metric tons.

The January 1, 2005 total rice stock inventory stood at 2.06 million metric tons, lower than previous month and year ago levels by 14.3 and 12.8 percent, respectively. The current stock is enough to last for 72 days.

The total rice stock inventory as of November 1, 2013 was 2.44 million metric tons (Figure 1). This was 37.7 percent higher than last month’s inventory of 1.77 million metric tons but 12.4 percent below last year’s record of 2.78 million metric tons.

The total rice stock inventory as of May 1, 2014 was 2.52 million metric tons (Figure 1). This was 15.5 percent higher than last month’s inventory of 2.18 million metric tons but 3.6 percent below the record in May 2013 of 2.61 million metric tons.

As of March 1, 2014, the total rice stock inventory was 1.78 million metric tons (Figure 1). This was 10.9 percent lower than last month’s inventory of 2.00 million metric tons and 7.9 percent below the 1.94 million metric tons record in March 2013.

The total rice stock inventory as of December 1, 2011 was 3.10 million metric tons (Figure 1). This was 3.7 percent below last month’s level of 3.21 million metric tons and 20.7 percent lower than last year’s record of 3.90 million metric tons.
