OFWs Counted At 1.9 Million (Results from the 2009 SURVEY ON OVERSEAS FILIPINOS)

 

The number of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who worked abroad during the period April to September 2009 was estimated at 1.9 million. Of this total, 98.8 percent were overseas contract workers (OCWs) or with existing work contracts abroad.
