PRODUCTION

The July to September 2023 seasonally adjusted palay production was recorded at 5.04 million metric tons. This indicates an increment of 0.4 percent from the previous quarter’s seasonally adjusted estimate of production at 5.03 million metric tons. (Figure 1 and Table 1)

PRICE

For the third quarter of 2023, the seasonally adjusted farmgate price of palay was observed at PhP 20.24 per kilogram. This represents an increase of 7.9 percent from the preceding quarter’s price of PhP 18.76 per kilogram. (Figure 2 and Table 2)
