Price Situationer of Selected Agricultural Commodities Second Phase of April 2022

1. The average retail prices of a kilogram of well milled rice decelerated by PhP 0.03 to PhP 1.00 in seven trading centers during the second phase of April 2022 (15 to 17 April 2022), from their price levels in the first phase of April 2022 (01 to 05 April 2022). Its average retail price per kilogram, however, increased by PhP 0.02 in Tacloban City, by PhP 0.25 in Pagadian City, by PhP 0.50 in Baguio City, and by PhP 0.88 in Kidapawan City during the period. (Table 1) 2. Increments in the average retail prices of a kilogram of beef lean meat, ranging from PhP 1.08 to PhP 20.00, were observed in eight trading centers during the second phase of April 2022. (Table 2) 3. Prices per kilogram of galunggong were higher by PhP 2.50 to PhP 80.00 in nine trading centers during the second phase of April 2022. On the other hand, its average retail price per kilogram during the second phase of April 2022 dropped by PhP 9.50 in Butuan City, by PhP 10.00 in Digos City, and by PhP 20.00 in Calapan City. (Table 3) 4. Mixed price movements of vegetables were registered in many trading centers during the second phase of April 2022. (Table 4) 5. Six trading centers posted decreases in the average retail prices of a kilogram of red onion ranging from PhP 0.59 to PhP 66.00 during the second phase of April 2022. Meanwhile, its average retail price per kilogram during the period rose by PhP 2.50 in Tuguegarao City, by PhP 4.00 in Digos City, and by PhP 10.00 in San Fernando City (Region 1). (Table 5) 6. Declines in the price of a kilogram of carabao mango ranging from PhP 0.38 to PhP 25.00 were noted in six trading centers during the second phase of April 2022. However, its average retail price per kilogram inched up by PhP 5.00 in both San Fernando City (Region 1) and Digos City, by PhP 5.50 in Tacloban City, and by PhP 40.00 in Calapan City during the period. (Table 6) 7. Relative to their price levels in the first phase of April 2022, the average retail prices of a kilogram of refined sugar went up by PhP 0.63 to PhP 4.00 in six trading centers during the second phase of April 2022.
