The Philippine Statistics Authority conducted the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (2020 CPH) in September 2020, with 01 May 2020 as reference date. The 2020 CPH was the 15th census of population and 7th census of housing that was undertaken in the Philippines since the first census in 1903. It was designed to take inventory of the total population and housing units in the country and collect information about their characteristics.

The Labor Turnover Survey (LTS), one of the regular surveys of the Philippine Statistics Authority, is an offshoot of the Employment, Hours and Earnings Survey (EHES), which was conducted from 1987 to 2002 by the former Bureau of Labor and Employment Statistics (BLES). To come up with timely information on labor market trends in the formal sector of the economy, the items of inquiry have been limited to employment, labor turnover, and existing job vacancies.

The Integrated Survey on Labor and Employment (ISLE) is a modular survey that integrates indicators related to employment, workers’ welfare and protection and labor relations. The ISLE is one of the major sources of core labor statistics as prescribed under International Labour Statistics Convention (C160) and the supplementary Labour Statistics Recommendation (R170) for ratifying countries to generate data related on employment, labor standards and labor relations.
